Thankyou to all members who attended the AGM and voted. Congratulations to all hardworking competitors who received an Award at the wonderful dinner. Once again I am taking on the role of President on the Reining Australia Board and I Thank you forgiving me the opportunity to lead Reining in Australia into 2015.
For those of you who may not know me, I was the Reining Australia President in 2007 - 2008 and served on the board for 4 years. This was during the time of NRHA Affiliation. I hope in the near future, following our first Board meeting to outline our strategy and plan for the sport of Reining in Australia.
I would like to ensure you that we "The Board" have a charter to diligently communicate information on all key changes that will impact the Sport and the membership.
Our first point of call is to educate the membership on the impact of the NRHA Drug Rule on the Sport of Reining. This Drug Rule Motion was defeated at the meeting, however we plan to have considerable discussion on this rule over the coming year as we seek to implement a robust Animal Welfare Strategy
I would like to introduce the new team listed with their portfolio's, tasked with the management and governance of our Sport in 2015:
