Reining Australia members can participate in all RA approved regional, state and national shows.

Reining Australia shows have a selection of classes designed to provide a level of competition for everyone – from beginning green riders to elite professionals.

All Reining Australia shows utilize accredited judges who have completed comprehensive training and passed rigorous testing before receiving their judge's privileges. This means that the consistency and fairness of scoring is the same at every show, in every level of competition.

Reining Australia keep accurate track of horse and rider earnings.

Reining Australia provides unique and comprehensive networking opportunities for members to connect with other members, top owners and some of the best horseman & women in Australia.

Reining Australia operates a website and Facebook page for its members which provides current information about all aspects of the sport.

Reining Australia is organized into regional areas. Riders compete in regional and state shows to qualify for the Australian National Reining Championships.

Reining Australia operates a fun yet competitive Youth program.

MEMBERSHIP INFORMATION 2025
Please find below information that outlines Reining Australia membership requirements.
Membership is due 1st January of each year.
Your level of competition determines your membership options.

Reining Australia Full membership Non-Pro, General, and Professional (includes Green Rider for those who are eligible)

Affiliate Membership

Youth Membership
(Youth wanting to compete in other sanctioned classes will need Non Pro declaration on file, Youth membership includes Green Rider).

Associate Membership (Non riding membership and horse ownership for RA Licenses and Lease purposes).

Event Membership (This membership is for the purpose of making reining available to anyone participating at any Reining Australia approved clinics or shows and covers the whole event)
All renewals are done through Nominate, you will receive a renewal email, any issues contact the Nominate Office on 07 3118 9555.
All membership renewals through Nominate now require nominating an Affiliate membership at the same time.
For those members renewal for the Green Rider program just click on Green Rider only and do not include Non-Pro.
SANCTION AND NON-SANCTIONED CLASSES
What is the difference?
Non-sanctioned classes are those held by Affiliates such as Beginner Rider/Youth, Beginner horse
Green Rider, Any Handed, Two-Handed Rookie, Junior or Senior Horse, Ladies and Gents.
All these classes can be ridden one or two handed and no competition license is required.
Sanctioned classes are Rookie Level 1 and 2, Limited Open, Intermediate Open and Open, Limited Non Pro, Intermediate Non Pro, Non-Pro, Youth classes, All Novice classes Open and Non Pro Level 1 and 2, Rookie Professional and Prime Time Non-Pro, and Masters Non Pro.
These classes are to be ridden one handed and a RA competition license is required.
Rookie Level 1 and 2
Rookie Level 1 and 2 and Youth competitors may use a horse without the restrictions of ownership.
New members
Members who are only competing in non-sanctioned events (Beginners, Training Class, Ladies, Gents, Any Handed, two-Handed Rookies, Beginner Horse, etc.) and attend clinics, only need to be a Green Rider member plus a member of their local Affiliate.
No competition license is required, they do not even need to own their own horse.
Event Membership
This membership is for the purpose of making reining available to anyone participating at any Reining Australia approved clinics or shows and covers the whole event. There is no limit of the number of times a rider can pay event membership. Event members shall be bound by all RA Rules and regulations. Event Memberships are not eligible for Reining Australia programs. Event membership is paid to Reining Australia. A waiver/release form is to be signed.

EXISTING MEMBER... HOW TO RENEW
If you are an existing Reining Australia member and need to renew your membership, you have two options.
OPTION 1
Renew via your MyRA account:
Log in to your MyRA account using the link below and follow the prompts to renew your membership.

OPTION 2
Request a renewal link:
If you prefer, you can email nominate@nominate.com.au to request a renewal link, which will be sent to your registered email address.
Accessing Your MyRA Account
If you have never logged into your MyRA account before, you will need to use the "Forgot your password" option to set up your login credentials.
Once logged in, your MyRA account allows you to:

View your earnings and horse earnings

Manage and update your horse details

Upgrade or renew your membership

Add additional affiliates to your membership
