Gary Yaghdjian (Ontario) CANADA Reining Australia Convenor ALE S JU/JU UTE
Gary has been a professional in the horse industry since 1978 and has dedicated his entire adult life to horses. Gary has been a mainstay on the Ontario Equestrian Federation Board and Ontario Reining Horse Association for more than twenty years where he has been involved in all aspects of the organisation. Gary is an Equine Canada Certified Level 2 Coach in both English and Western and holds National Judging credentials with Equine Canada, a Reining Judges card in Germany and is an FEI Steward. He has been recognised for extraordinary service with his induction into The Ontario Equestrian Federation and Ontario Reining Horse Association Halls of Fame. He has been a competitor in the discipline of Reining Internationally as well as competing in Hunter/Jumper discipline within Ontario. In the early 2000's the NRHA of Germany asked Bob Mayhew, Bernie Hoeltzel and Gary Yaghdjian to create and implement a Reining Judges accreditation program (as they opted to operate outside of NRHA Oklahoma, USA). In those years Gary and the others conducted multiple Judges schools as well as judging all of the major Reining in Germany including Futurities and Derbies. Gary also judges CRBC (Canadian Breeders Futurity) which was the Canadian equivalent to the NRBC several times. Gary and his wife Danielle, own and operate the Pickering Horse Centre, a 50-horse facility offering a riding school, Hunter/Jumper show boarding and training, horse camps as well hosting 17 multi-discipline horse competitions yearly.
